I am officially back and glad to be able to sleep in my own bed.
J and I went to Anna Maria Island and had an amazing time. Who knew that this amazing place was only 1.5 hours from our Central Florida home? (Probably everyone but us.)
If you missed part one, you can read about it here.
Let’s start with the food.
Breakfast at a Crepe restaurant.
Yum!
First fancy dinner at the Bridge Street Bistro. Amazing sunset views and the food was pretty good.
Final really fancy dinner at St. Armand’s Circle in Sarasota. The restaurant is the Crab and Fin which we chose because a downpour started and it was the closest restaurant. It was a good choice, the food was really good.
They had a crazy raw bar and local caviar.
Alaskan king crab and trout with an interesting pesto on top. J said the King Crab was the best he ever had.
The service was really slow but the food was delicious. Very fresh.
More eats from St. Armand’s.
Crazy ice cream place. Hello! It is called ScoopDaddy’s and it was fun which is exactly what an ice cream place should be. Plus the ice cream was really good. I had a scoop of Almond Joy which tasted just like the candy bar.
Then we found a store that sold macarons called Le Macarons. If you have never had these tasty treats please run out and get some. J and I may have come back the next day to pick-up a box of ten.
We did other things on our vacation besides eat.
Beach
The beach was just across the street from our hotel. It was beautiful and so relaxing.
Gateway to the beach.
Worlds whitest running feet. (Yes, I know I have wide man feet but my sock tan is ridiculous.)
Mote Marine Laboratory
J and I were married at an aquarium and both really love them. So when a Groupon for discount tickets popped up for the aquarium near our vacation, I jumped on them.
Not sure what they are doing in this picture but we stared for awhile.
Sharks!
Baby sea turtle.
Big freaking sea turtle.
Bird sanctuary that happens to be next to the aquarium.
Bird Mitzvah, this made me laugh.
Owls!
It was an amazing vacation but I am glad to be back and able to get back into my routine.
My half training starts next week and I need to have my plan finalized. I am so excited to start training for my first half!
Mmmm… crepes…..
They were really good! The flavors were maple, sugar, and honey. With maple syrup on top, they made for one yummy breakfast.
Your vacation pictures are amazing! I kind of like that raw bar. This is so making me anxious for my vacation time : )
Thanks!! I really did have an amazing time.
Your vacation is going to be so cool and I cannot wait to see all those pictures from Alaska.
